August 22, 2007: Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) – Michigan and Plante & Moran are holding a series of presentations focused on Building Business in Michigan’s business environment. "Breaking the Barriers of Growth" will be the first event featuring their joint efforts and will take place on October 11, from 7:30am-10:30am at Plante & Moran, 27400 Northwestern Hwy, Southfield, MI.

This event will feature leading business coaches Prafulla Pande (PANDE Associates) and Chris Elias (ELIAS Associates), who will conduct an intense interactive workshop in "mini boot camp" style. The workshop will cover a variety of topics aimed at equipping the attendees with tools they need to build successful businesses. “This is a great opportunity for the members of SMPS to understand the barriers that hold businesses back from reaching their potential” says Prafulla. Chris adds “Participants of this workshop will be able to take away concepts and tools that they can begin to implement in their businesses immediately.”

The series was initiated in 2006 by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Michigan, an organization dedicated to providing educational and networking opportunities to its members. "SMPS Michigan began this series to help our member firm leaders better understand opportunities and best practices that could positively impact their growth" states SMPS-MI president Leslie Kusek, LMK Consulting. "The coaching provided by Prafulla and Chris is a tremendous business resource that will make this program offering extremely valuable."
